Volunteer with us! Our programmes champion the imagination of children and young people living with illness. Learn how you can help us make a difference.
Helium Arts is a constantly developing organisation. We value collaboration: we work with professional artists and healthcare providers to deliver our programmes and regard young participants and their families as creative partners in the process.
Helium’s volunteer positions and internships are designed to offer interested supporters the opportunity to contribute to the development of the organisation. In turn, volunteers and interns benefit from insight into and experience assisting in an important and growing area of arts practice – children’s arts and health.
Volunteer positions are available in areas such as administration support and event support. Internships are available in areas such as PR and marketing; fundraising; or areas specific to your skills, training and professional interests. Opportunities are open to students, graduates, JobBridge interns or those who simply possess the motivation and enthusiasm for what we do.
What Helium internships and volunteer opportunities offer you:
– Support and mentoring from dedicated Helium staff member
– Insight into Arts and Health practices and the running of a nonprofit organisation
– Opportunity to network within the sector
– Opportunities to undertake relevant training
– Reference at the end of the placement
